To promote awareness of the Community Center and to inspire people to donate food, Juliana Zepf of Byram HIlls Girl Scout Troop #1153 had a bright idea.
"I chose to hang my food photos in hopes of reminding people who come to donate clothing that the pantry always needs food—not just at holiday time. I was hoping for my project to help inspire people; to make a bigger difference than I could’ve made on my own,” Juliana said.
To achieve her Silver Award, the 14-year-old from Bedford thought of a project that would be sustainable and long-lasting. She took close-up photos of colorful, fresh foods that beautify the donation room and brighten the spirits of all who come to the Community Center.
We thank Juliana Zepf for her thoughtful effort and for such lovely photography. Come and see it in person—it’s right inside the entrance to our donation room.
